Max Gorin is a native of Hollywood Hills, California. He graduated from UCLA with degrees in psychology and economics before getting his MBA at the Anderson School of Management. Max has also served as an emergency medical technician for over ten years, including three years as the Director of Health Care Delivery for LifeLine Response.
LifeLine Ambulance, Inc. And Beyond
In 2002, Max co-founded LifeLine Ambulance in Los Angeles County with only a six-person staff and two ambulances. In the early years, Max – a newly licensed emergency medical technician – frequently responded to calls himself, handled late-night dispatching, and implemented marketing efforts highlighting its mission: serving and protecting the community in emergencies.
LifeLine Ambulance is the first and only non-profit to provide free ambulance transportation by a licensed provider for medical emergencies, hospital transfers, home health care services, hospice transitions, and other community benefits in California’s 20th Congressional District with over 100 ambulances operating throughout Los Angeles County.
LifeLine operates out of thirteen locations throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. It is a leader in the industry with over 300 employees, 57 ambulances, 36 emergency response vehicles, two mobile ICUs, 11 paramedics on staff 24/hours per day.
LifeLine Ambulance’s vision for helping people has not changed: to provide high-quality care that changes lives by improving access to health services while providing jobs for those who need them most.
Max credits his success as an entrepreneur and business owner to having created LifeLine Response – a sister company of LifeLine Ambulance – which provides customized ambulance staffing solutions specifically tailored to customer’s needs. Gorin serves as Chairman Emeritus of both companies but remains involved daily with the management team at both organizations. He also co-founded the nonprofit organization OneTeam Los Angeles.
During his tenure at LifeLine Response, Max Gorin forged partnerships between local businesses and healthcare organizations, including UnitedHealth Group and Blue Shield of California. Apart from his work in providing emergency care service
